pinamagatang “Songs About You” sa ilalim ng MCA Music.
“Songs
About You is originally supposed to be a self-titled album because I’m coming
out as my own separate person but I thought about it and kind of want to
express more what the album is.
“It’s
all compounded by different stories and different people in my life. It’s kind
of like a storybook, there’s every emotion you can think of – there’s happy,
there’s sad, there’s angry,” paglalarawan ng dalaga sa bago nitong album.
Carrier
single ng naturang album ang “We Can’t Be” na kanyang isinulat para sa isang
tao na akala niya’y magiging ka-relasyon niya. Bukod dito, ang ilan pang
kantang nakapaloob sa album ay ang “Weekend With You,” “Piece of You,”
“Distance,” “The Game,” “Don’t Forget Me,” “Gone Away,” at ang piano version ng
hit single na “12:51.”
Suportado
“The
difference now is that my sister wasn’t there anymore to sing some parts with
me but I’m kind of happy also because these are my songs, these are my feelings
and she can’t relate to it anyway. She wants something else and I did too and
it was okay for both of us,” saad pa ni Krissy na iniidolo sina Lana del Rey,
Frank Ocean, at Drake.
Aminado
“The
album is kind of like the words that I never got to tell these particular
people in my life because I’m a coward; it’s like a letter to them, to those
boys I never got the chance to express how I really feel.”
Naniniwala
“I
don’t write to make it [song] a hit. I was surprised with 12:51 how a lot of
people could relate to it. If anything, that’s my goal – for other people to
relate to my songs, to help others who are going through breakups, to have
something to listen to, to let them know that there are other people out there
who feel the same way,” dagdag ni Krissy na kasalukuyan ay nag-aaral ng
Business Music Management.
“I
just really hope that you enjoy listening to this album. It is a huge piece of
me and I’m happy to share it with all of you,” ani Krissy sa kanyang mga tagapakinig.
